Students must complete a total of 28 units of physics coursework to earn a minor in physics; at least 20 of these units must be from upper division physics courses. Lower division transfer work is permitted. If using lower division courses towards the minor, only Physics 2 and Physics 4 series lecture courses are accepted. All courses used for the minor must be taken for a letter grade, including transfer work.

Students will need to select specific physics courses they will use to satisfy the minor requirements. To see the physics course offerings, go to the Physics section of the UCSD General catalog. Note: Students must complete the course pre-requisites, as listed, in order to enroll in physics courses at UCSD.
